I recently had a tooth pulled by Dr Blackmon and it was hard to get out and I never felt any pain during or after. That was the first tooth I had pulled in 30 yes. Dr Blackmon was awesome.
Hygienist was rude and unprofessional. Did not address my severe medical issues before beginning or give me time to address medical concerns I had. Told me I just needed to "get over" a disabling medical condition and then completely ignored the problem. Ignored obvious signs of distress, refused to give a short break, and actively prevented me from sitting up to get away. Dentist himself seemed rushed and uncaring. Did not address the concerns raised to him about his hygienist either. Even without my medical condition the whole thing just seemed like I was a part in an assembly line and I was treated as such. Very unprofessional. Also their new patient form asks for your social security number no less than 3 times, but they don't even bother to ask to see your insurance card. I cannot see a reason why a dentist needs to know this information.
Dr Blackmon and his entire staff are great! Caring, kind and likable. I have major anxiety about dental procedures and Br Blackmon and his staff made sure I was comfortable and took their time when I got overwhelmed. So glad that I found this practice!
The entire staff is amazingly friendly, helpful and courteous. The office is clean and conveniently located. I recommend this practice to all my family and friends or anyone who is looking for a new (great) dentist in the Rome GA area.

I have been a patient for a while now and have never liked a dentist as best as I do Dr. Weldon and Blackmon. They are both excellent guys. I recently had to have a night guard made and my insurance wouldn't cover it, but with the help of Dr. Weldon I was able to get the night guard. My oldest child is very nervous about dentists but he has not had a problem since being seen at the office.
Would not recommend going here at all now!!! I previously saw Dr. Weldon who was wonderful. I made an appointment 6 months ago and now when I speak to them about a tooth that is seriously abcessed and completely broke off that I'm in so much pain I can't even function. They refused to write a prescription for even an ANTIBIOTIC and said I need to come in, in THREE weeks. They first said Dr Weldon was not there anymore and then said he was on a leave of absence for personal reasons. Dr Blackmon then proceeded to call back and cuss my fiance out and tell him that it was my fault that my tooth was in so much pain. When we told him we didn't have the $1,000 for the root canal, he said "That's not my problem" And then also said it didn't matter what Dr Weldon said about my tooth although they are in the practice together. Would not go here unless you want unprofessional and uncaring people to work on your teeth.
