This place was horrible. You come out worse than you did when you went in. The nurses and mental health techs treat you like you’re in prison and did something wrong. They talk like they didn’t even graduate with their horrible grammar, “What yo name again?” Very poorly run. Do not come here.

A few couselors care and try but are vastly outnumbered by patients. They mix all types of us in their intense outpatient treatment program and just have 3 or 4 group talks a day. No one in one. Love Pat. She helped as much as our time allowed. Find someplace better.

Worst place. Dehumanizing. Treated as animals, prisoners, not patients. Do not go here or put your loved ones in this place. Ridiculous.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!! IT'S PRISON WITHOUT HAVING TO WEAR ORANGE!! Absolute worst 6 days I've had to endure in my life! By day three, although not receiving real help or effective treatment, I was literally doing anything to have my assigned psych approve my discharge -- ask if I'm feeling depressed? "Nope! Feel great!" (even though I felt as hopeless as I had been. On day one, after meeting with a psychiatrist I'd NEVER seen before for a whopping 2-3 minutes, she decided to take me off every single medication I'd been taking for several years -- one being a medication (not any sort of controlled substance, but a mood stabilizer) that is extremely dangerous for one to stop cold-turkey causing near debilitating withdrawals effects. I told her this, begging that she not make me go through that, but she just gave me a condescending grin and told me she was stopping it anyway. As I began to feel worse and worse over the hours and days after being off that med, I told every nurse at medication time. Each one said the same "I'll talk to the doctor". When asked by the charge nurse how I was doing, I explained to her the same thing to which she responded with "well, your doctors and nurses know what they're doing, so you need to just do what they tell you" (once more receiving a condescending 'you're-crazy-and-don't-matter' smile before she moved on). This place treats you worse than a prisoner. In my 6-day stay, only two times were we allowed to go outside and each time for only 15 minutes in a small enclosed cage with a single table. So from being treated like we were less than human by being openly talked and laughed about my staff, not receiving treatment we *actually* needed, being kept out of the loop as far as what our treatment actually WAS, community bathrooms we were required to use which were filthy with feces and urine on the toilet and floor, and having to go as far as beg for just a 6oz cup of water (as that's all they offered -- aside from a dirty water fountain with no water pressure to be able to drink from -- they acted like doing that was such a major inconvenience and let you know it with their attitudes. I will say my mood increased dramatically from being there!! ...but ONLY on the day that I was finally set FREE!

My son and I have been sitting in the Floyd Medical Center ER since 4pm Thursday. It's now 9:30am Saturday morning and supposedly they can't find transportation for my son to get him the help that he "needs." I'm beyond agitated. I've missed 2 going on 3 days of work. This place should be investigated and there should be some major changes made here.
