I spent a month and seven days at this facility, and I was blessed to have such wonderful nurses and c.n.a's. It means alot when they staff can go out there way to make sure the patients stay is comfortable. The therapy department is awesome they also make you work in all areas as possible( Mrs. Penny I want to say a special thank you for pushing me to do better and helping me to accomplish walking up and down the steps). Ja'Nisa, Flip, shannon, Mrs. Tamara, Ashna, are just a few that made my days there heaven sent. There are more nurses that made the days and nights go by so smoothly when I was missing home. These employees were my second family and I'll always cherish them closely may God continue to bless each and every one of you. One day we will meet again on different circumstances .
Doctors do not read the files from the doctor that was on duty the week before. One good doctor out of 3.
Well my husband has been here for one week exactly today. He is suppose to have therapy all week. But speech has been here twice. Nothing here at all but speech this week. How is he supposed to get stronger when he just lays in bed all day long. He won't. Some of the nursrs are RUDE page for help they might come 2 or 3 later. Mike has a trach he can't talk or walk. Patents like him should be checked on every 2 hours. If he has a accident we have waited 3 hours for them to assist him. After paging the nurses.... Thats wrong he has sore raw places on him from having to lay in feces so long. He has a peg tube the feeding upsets his stomach......After his 3 weeks here I can promise you it's going to be a wasted trip. I DO NOT have any time to waste when it comes to his care. He is getting weaker an weaker. That's my bad experience after one week. Thank you. Oh BTW he is on step down unit.
This is not a rehab hospital do not believe the lies you are told.
If at all possible avoid this place! I left yesterday, stayed a month. Staff is usually short.. I am a quadriplegic and when my fiance had to leave I ended up in some bad situations. I got lucky a good doctor and there are SOME good nurses, especially when family is around....
If you want good health care don't go to Kindred this is a for profit low budget hospital.
My dad is in kindred hospital right now. I don't like the way he has been treated. I have the stupid visiting hours, I live in Alabama and I can't stay in the room with him during the day, you have to leave for two hours then come back..I have leaving him, he had a trech and can't speak, he's been on a ventilator for 4 weeks. There are only two good nurses that really care about him.(Reba & Jessica) I am so appreciative of them.I don't worry so much when he is being taken care of by them. We waited 2hrs. the other day for them to come clean him up where he had a bowel movement. And today he has been all the way to the other side of the bed with his head against the rail. My mother is there today and the RT was so rude to her about moving him over, if they are not there to take care of people why go into the nursing field or RT field? If I go in there tomorrow and he is not being taken care of the way any patient in this hospital should be and anyone tests my mother with disrespect again, I'm going to raise hell. Noone deserves to be treated the way my parents have..I WOULD NEVER, BRING A CORPSE TO THIS PLACE.. WORST HOSPITAL
