Okay, I admit it, I love IHOP's pancakes! I've become a "pancake snob", only IHOP and my mother's will do! This is the only place I order pancakes and waffles, period. There's just no comparison. They're light, fluffy and melt in my mouth. I know that they'll always be good, I haven't been disappointed. The pancakes are great alone or in a combo, with eggs, bacon or sausage, hashbrowns or toast. And a glass of milk or orange juice. Also, go on their website and register to get offers and advance notice of upcoming specials. You'll also get free food the week of your birthday, not just the day of. How great is that?
Wasn't happy at all with this place. The building is kind of on the dingy / dirty side, one side of the restaurant was freezing while the other side was too warm, and my food was brought out already cold (thought it did taste great). My pancakes were already so cold when THEY put the butter on them before even bringing them out to me that the butter didn't even try to start to melt. Even when I put the butter between the pancakes it wouldn't even begin to melt. Then, the syrup they brought out was so cold that it was all it could do to pour out. The eggs and other stuff wasn't as cold as the pancakes, but was still barely warm. Our server did do a so so job though I guess, but could have kept a better check on my wife and my needs as we had to wait for drink refills and wait a while to get extra napkins. I could have understood a little if they had of been packed, but they weren't very busy at all when we were there. Yeah, a 3 star rating is about as good as I can give to this particular IHOP I'm afraid.
We were waited on by a younger guy named Drake. We were EXTREMELY satisfied with the service. He was friendly, fast, and he kept up with refills and checking in. He told us after serving us to have a blessed day and come back to see him again.. We've personally never had that nice of a waiter. Also, we were very satisfied with the food. It was fresh, hot and delicious. We will be back soon. :)
The restaurant stinks, I mean literally stinks. Bad smell. Grits were like water. No taste and thin as water. Our waitress, Cheryl was amazing. Couldn't ask for a nicer, efficient waitress. We loved her. We probably won't be eating there again
